In schools, inconsistent responses can quickly undermine confidence. When one issue is handled one way and another differently, it creates uncertainty and tension for both staff and families.

Clear escalation paths, agreed response times, and consistent decision-making protect everyone involved. They ensure fairness, reduce emotional pressure, and allow issues to be resolved calmly rather than reactively.
As a Programme Manager, my role is to ensure that when something doesn’t go to plan, there is a framework in place to deal with it. That framework removes the need for improvisation and protects relationships.
